Keyboard: ← → = X · ↑ ↓ = Y · PgUp PgDn = Z. In Fast, hold to jog — release stops instantly. Esc closes.
Appearance belongs to this browser, not to a machine: it is shared with 454 Design and is not part of a profile export.
All settings save automatically in this browser. Export a copy as backup — importing Carbide Motion's shapeoko.json pulls in your BitSetter position and accessory setup.
454 Control can open and check G-code on its own, but it needs a connection to jog, probe or cut.
Homing sets the machine’s own coordinates. Until it runs, machine positions mean nothing, so the BitSetter, park moves, job recovery and anything using G53 can’t be trusted.
The machine will move to its limit switches. Check the spindle is clear and your hand is near the stop.
Comments in (parentheses) or after a ; are ignored. G53 moves use machine coordinates, so they go to the same place every time once the machine is homed.
Place the plate on top of the stock. Clip the magnet to the collet nut. Jog the tool tip 2–10 mm above the plate, roughly centered.
BitSetter: no reference yet
Probes down max 25 mm (fast), backs off, re-probes slow, sets work Z0 to the stock top via G10 L2, then lifts 10 mm clear. Verify with the paper test before cutting.
